Immersed in the fascinating Sicilian millenary history the Agriturismo Arrigo (rural farmhouse accommodation) is located at the slopes of Mount Etna surrounded by a striking and magnificent vegetation. In the silence of a land of strong and firm gastronomic traditions, you will find a welcoming atmosphere and availability of the area's typical products; guests of a lesser known Sicily, but exclusive, very close to the splendid locations of Taormina, Catania e Siracusa.
The presence of Europe's biggest active volcano is the reason why one should stay at the Azienda Agrituristica Arrigo (country farmhouse accommodation) located in Linguaglossa. A home that rises in contact with the atmosphere and with the mystery of these lands associated with Greek mythology. Splendid views form the background to modern skiing facilities of Piano Provenzana with a view of the ocean. Furthermore they offer the possibility of going on beautiful excursions along the surprising paths of the Parco Naturale dell'Etna (Etna Natural Park) thanks to the all-terrain vehicles of the conventional company called STAR.
In this area, during the course of centuries, the growth of vegetation and of an environment that takes its characteristics from the volcano's activities has developed: the series of woods and pine forests that alternate with ethereal landscapes are the extraordinary fruits of a surprising interaction for the variety of results. Along the fertile slopes of the volcano pine trees, white Aetnensis birch trees and beech trees are part of a never-ending view; descending the volcano oak trees and chestnut trees appear along with lush olive trees. Whilst the dark colour of the lava emphasizes the colours of the broom in bloom, on the valleys and on the foot of the mountain appear the vineyards. In this habitat it comes as no surprise to find the presence of animal life truly amazing: weasels, dormice, upupa or hoopoe birds and red woodpeckers are in fact some of the park's most pleasant guests.
